This 500,000 gallon retention pond was constructed in 2005 as part of the storm water management improvements.
The majority of TAMCO's process water is re-circulated back into the system to cool production equipment. In addition, the water is used to cool the off-gas prior to introduction into the baghouse, thus preserving the life of the filter bags.

TAMCO also protects its storm water run-off quality by utilizing the Best Management Practices (BMP's).  As part of these BMP's, TAMCO has implemented a state-of-the-art storm water management system to collect and treat the storm water run-off prior to leaving the site.  The other BMP's include: analytical testing of the storm water before it is discharged off-site, the elimination of unauthorized discharges in the storm water drain system and inspection of the system during non-rainy days.
