Joint Safety Committee:
This committee, co-chaired by TAMCO's Vice President of Human Resources and the Union Safety & Health Committee Chair, meets the second Wednesday of every month. Working together as labor and management, the committee is charged with developing safety policies, appraising safety training and equipment specifications, reviewing accidents, assessing the effectiveness of safety incentive programs and evaluating the overall success of the safety program.

Safety Huddles:
Each Supervisor is required to hold a Safety Huddle with his respective crew at least once a month to discuss and review various safety issues. 


Department Safety Teams:
Department Safety Teams have taken ownership of their immediate work areas.  Each Department Safety Team performs a safety inspection of their respective work areas and document unsafe conditions.  A master list is updated monthly by the safety engineer and forwarded to each department for corrective action.

Specialized Training Sessions:
TAMCO provides safety training required by law in such areas as: First Aid/CPR, Forklift Certification, Lockout-Tagout, Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER), Confined Space Entry Procedures and Hazard Communication Standards.
